Vanessa Sweet, a 45 year old with a diagnosis of bone and soft tissue cancer, has raised her two adult daughters, Meghan (27) and Charitee (19), and her two younger children (under 10) in Hamilton.
Vanessa wished to have special family time with her children and chose Rotorua as the perfect holiday destination for her beautiful family to create many happy memories together. Also accompanying Vanessa on this break away were her three young grandchildren.
In September, the family group of eight enjoyed an amphibious adventure with Rotorua Duck Tours , and the lovely Shelley organized a fun filled 2-hour Tarawera and Lakes Tour. They then checked into their accommodation for the weekend at Rotorua International Motor Inn, which included a spa for each of their rooms for the family to enjoy after a long day of activities.
Shine at the amazing Lone Star Rotorua, who frequently support our wishes, organised a delicious dinner which was enjoyed by all, and they could not have felt more welcome.
The next two days were actioned packed. The kids had a ball zooming down the new luge track at the exciting Skyline Rotorua, the whole family loved the 3D Trick Art Gallery where they took many photos and they all had a lovely time during their visit to the Paradise Valley Springs where the family were able to wander through the beautiful grounds and experience many animals.
Unfortunately, Vanessa used up all of her energy during her stay and could not make the dinner booking at Capers Cafe + Store which was kindly organized by Susie.
Thank you to all of the amazing businesses in family fun capital Rotorua for hosting this wonderful weekend for Vanessa and her family. We know the memories created there will last forever.
