Forty eight year old Steven Taramaeroa has always been an incredibly passionate fisherman and diver, spending every spare moment in and around the ocean 
. So, it was no surprise that his wish was to go fishing, when he received a diagnosis of squamous cell cancer. Race4Life persevered as did Steven, to make this work, however ill health and inclement weather got in the way.

Race4Life persevered as did Steven, to make this work, however ill health and inclement weather got in the way.With Easter approaching and family visiting, we suggested that the wares of the ocean be delivered to Steven instead! 
Andrew Spence, from Oceanz Seafood, who has been supporting Race4life for almost 10 years, arranged an array of seafood for the occasion. Volunteer Mike Masfen picked up the freshly caught seafood and delivered the package to Stevens home.
Steven and his family spent a wonderful Easter together, preparing, cooking and sharing this seafood feast. This was also a very special time, as Steven got to meet two of his newly born grandchildren.
