Sonya King is a solo mum with two sons aged 4 and 13. 43 year old Sonya is a real battler. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer just before the earthquakes in Christchurch. It has been a tough road for Sonya, however she does not entertain that frame of mind. She instead chooses to be grateful for what she has.
Sonya has never taken her boys on a holiday, and in fact, she has never been on many holidays herself. Never having travelled to Queenstown, the prospect of a wish in this beautiful part of the country, is a dream come true.
On the Friday, Sonya and her boys flew from Christchurch to Queenstown. They had an awesome holiday organised through the incredible generosity of our wonderful Queenstown community.
