Georgie Ferris

Race4Life / Georgie Ferris

It took 7 years for 22 year old Georgie Ferris to get her diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Her symptoms started to escalate at the age of 17 with major intestinal issues. This brave young woman battled on amidst incorrect diagnoses ranging from an eating disorder to factitious disorder. In March this year, Georgie was finally diagnosed with Classical Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

This long suffering but totally positive young woman put her hand up for a wish. Georgie travelled on Monday to Queenstown to fulfill this wish with her Mum Robyn and twin sister Olivia. What a time they are having, being spoilt by our wonderful service providers in this beautiful area of the country. It was a real plus for Viv James, who was down South for the Targa Rally fundraiser to catch up with the crew.
