Deryn Conrad is a 39 year old loving Mother to four children and is battling a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Deryn wished to experience a few days away with her kids and treat them to somewhere very special including a visit to the zoo.
The Grand by SkyCity came on board and kindly donated two nights for the family in a premium family suite, also treating them all to a beautiful breakfast at Fortuna Buffet Restaurant, and of course the icing on the cake being a night of fine dining at Sky City’s iconic Orbit 360-Deg Dining, Skycity Auckland.
Amy and Wētā Workshop team kindly donated Deryn and the kids the amazing Weta Workshop Unleashed experience. This adventure was thrilling for the kids, allowing them to step into a sci-fi adventure and see horror movie characters come to life!
The family finished their first magical day at White + Wong’s Auckland Viaduct where they were treated to wonderful modern Asian dining at its very best, thanks to Sonya and her team 
In the morning of the second very full day, the family were chauffeured by Andrew Kingstone and Logan Cooke, members of the Mustang Club. These amazing gentlemen drove a modern and a classic Mustang, so Deryn and the kids were spoilt for choice! Destination Auckland Zoo! Again kindness prevailed, as Auckland Zoo also donated the day passes and made the visitors feel very welcome.
Thank you to all involved in this wish. Deryn has let us know that everyone enjoyed themselves from start to finish, as did she! We are so grateful for the kindness and generosity that made this wish a reality
