A trip from Southland to Marlborough with his darling Gillian was the wish of 67 year old, patient, Allan Tall, who suffers from Huntington’s disease. This very sobering disease is attacking Allan’s brain cells and he realised, should he want a wish, that now was the time.
So while physically and mentally able, Alan was determined to enjoy this special time and create some cherished memories.
Alan spent many years as a long haul driver ending up in Picton, but never had the opportunity to really spend time and look around the area. So while away, Alan soaked up the history and the beauty of all the wonderful spots and experiences,that Picton has to offer.
The Marlborough community pulled out all stops and Alan and Gillian were shown a real good time!
